EURO KIDS' AWARDS

 

 

 

Awards in previous years

2002

MEDIA Salles presented an award to the cinemas that have distinguished themselves for the quality of their initiatives for promoting interest in the cinema amongst young audiences:

First prize (1 000 euro) : Cinéma Le Parc of Charleroi, (Belgium);
Second prize (750 euro): Nuovo Teatro of Palombara Sabina (Italy);
Third prize (500 euro) : Espace Aragon of Villard Bonnot (France).

Prize for a European children's film: Minoes (by Vincent Bal). The Dutch film, produced by Bos Bos and distributed by Warner Bros, which was judged to have high potential for international distribution, has already met with great success amongst young Dutch audiences (820 000 admissions and a box-office of 4 500 000 euros).

2001

  • Cinema prize: Cinema Fantarca of Modugno, Italy
    Prominent in terms of the initiatives regarding visual education organised on behalf of children and the workshops run for schools;
  • Prize for a European children’s film: Manolito Gafotas,
    by Miguel Albaladejo, particularly appreciated by young spanish audiences and with excellent potential for distribution in the rest of Europe  

2000

  • Prize for a European children’s film:Tsatsiki, Mum and the Policeman,
    by Ella Lamhagen, for the appreciation already demonstrated by audiences in the film's country of origin and on neighbouring markets such as Norway and Denmark, as well as on its prospects for distribution in France, Poland, Turkey, Korea, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Finland and Taiwan

 

 

1999

  • Prize for a European children’s film: La Gabbianella e il Gatto,
    by Enzo d'Alò, for the success obtained at an international level
