Synopsis

On a trip to the city museum Abrax, Brabax and Califax, the Abrafaxe, discover a golden bowl which they are told is part of a legendary Aztec treasure. In spite of Califax’ strong objections Abrax and Brabax examine the bowl more closely and, without knowing, set off a secret mechanism - suddenly the world around them disappears, and they find themselves taken back to the 18th century. There they have exciting adventures involving the pretty pirate Anne Bonnie, the terrifying Caribbean pirate Captain Blackbeard, and a Spanish commodore, who, despite being extremely vain, is not particularly bright. Eventually the trip takes them to the island of Tortuga, the Pirates’ Paradise, governed by beautiful Anne Bonnie. Tortuga is an enclave of freedom - however, due to Blackbeard's evil game, it is threatened to be discovered by the Spanish. Will the Abrafaxe be there in time to save Tortuga? And where the heck is Califax? The suspense increases and a furious finale full of unexpected turns has the audience holding their breath to the very last second.
