MEDIA Salles' "European Cinema Yearbook" is the most complete statistical report on the cinematographic exhibition in Europe which it has monitored from 1989 to 2009.
The present edition gives an immediate and clear view of the overall state of the cinema industry in 34 countries in Western, Central and Eastern Europe and on the Mediterranean Rim, providing data such as numbers of screens, admissions, box office receipts, density of the various kinds of cinema complexes and screens, average admission charges, market shares of domestic, U.S. and other products.
It also presents a detailed analysis of the multiplexes operating in Europe providing country-by-country information on the number of sites, screens and seats and on the exhibitors, as well as an overview on digital screens worldwide.

Papers will be examined by a committee consisting of the members of MEDIA Salles' "Training and Research Work Group" and of professionals and academics in the field of cinema exhibition (each paper received will be examined by two members of this committee).

The papers chosen will be published on the Internet, in the "Cinema Research Library" section of MEDIA Salles’ web pages (http://www.mediasalles.it), with the author’s name, as well as a short presentation of his/her academic or professional work.

- plus an abstract of 100 words

- French (with abstract in English too) or
- Italian (with abstract in English too)
