Train from Airport to Amsterdam Central Station

A Direct Rail Link connects Schiphol International Airport to Amsterdam Central Station: it is the fastest and most convenient way to get to the city center.
Trains run every 10 minutes (http://www.amsterdam.info/airport/train/) from platforms 1 and 2 in the main arrival plaza and cost € 3.80, or € 6.50 in first class, for a single journey.
Have change on hand or a debit card to use the ticket machines (http://www.amsterdam.info/transport/tickets/) to avoid the lines and € 0.50 surcharge at the ticket office.

Transport in Amsterdam

The Hotel Ibis Amsterdam Centre is at walking distance from the Central Station (take the exit towards City Centre).

The EYE Film Institute Netherlands is also at walking distance from the Central Station (take the exit towards the Ij River Bank).

How to get from Ibis Amsterdam Centre Hotel to the EYE Film Institute Netherlands (length: about 15 mins)

From Ibis hotel, get to Central Station, which is adjacent. Then cross the station in the direction of platform 15 and exit on the Ij riverbank. There, take the boat, free of charge, to “Buiksloterweg” (don't take the ferry going to Ij plein). After disembarking, turn left: the EYE Film Institute Netherlands can already be seen from on board the boat.

Visits during the course

For the visits scheduled on 31st August and on 1st September, a private coach will be used.

On 31st August and 1st September the bus will leave in the area of the Ibis Hotel/Central Station, more exactly, at Prins Hendrikkade in front of the Victoria Hotel.
