Václav Havel Airport Prague, formerly Prague Ruzyně International Airport

Václav Havel Prague Airport is a modern international airport located around 17 kilometres north of the city. The journey from the airport to the city centre takes around 25-30 minutes by taxi at about 600 crowns (approx. 25 euro), or up to one hour by public transport. Most taxis accept credit cards but make sure to ask the taxi driver before you get in.

We suggest to take Airport Express Bus: AE towards Hlavní nádraží, get out at Náměstí Republiky and walk 250m to Axa Hotel, duration: about 45 minutes at 60 CZK

There are two terminals next to each other.
Flights from Schengen-zone countries arrive and depart from Terminal 2 (without passport control).
Arrivals at level 1 and Departures at level 2
Luggage-Wrapping at level 2
Wrapping your luggage in plastic film costs 99 crowns - about 4 euro.

Tip: At the public area between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 arrivals the Billa supermarket is open until 10 pm. It is an excellent choice for last-minute shopping at affordable prices.
In the airport you can find also a post-office and a pharmacy (lekarna)

How to get to Bratislava from Prague (on 27 August) and to Prague from Bratislava (on 28 August)

There is a direct train connection between Prague and Bratislava. It takes approximately 4 hours 10 minutes to get from one central railway station to another.
Tickets will be bought by MEDIA Salles.
Departure from Prague in the afternoon of 27 August and returning to Prague the evening after. We suggest leaving luggage in the hotel in Prague and taking just an overnight bag. The train is a EuroCity, destination Budapest, departing from Prague central station: Praha hl.n.( Hlavní nádraží). It goes through the regions of Bohemia and Moravia and follows the Elbe river for a while. There is a restaurant car where you can enjoy good food at a very reasonable price.

To cross the border between the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, a document, such as an identity card or passport, is required.

Bratislava's central train station is called Bratislava hlavná stanica, shortened to Bratislava, hl. st, only a 15-minute walk from the Austria Trend Hotel Bratislava.

On the morning of 28, during the visits in Bratislava, luggage can be left at the hotel.
 

Transfers in Prague

Tickets for public transport will be supplied by MEDIA Salles: participants will find an envelope on their arrival at hotel Axa or at Světozor Kino.

Transfer from Axa Hotel (Bílá labuť stop) to Světozor Kino (Václavské náměstí/Venceslas Square)
- tram 3 towards Nádraží Braník (3 stops), duration: about 5 minutes;
- tram 24 towards Spořilov (3 stops), duration: about 5 minutes;
- about 20 minutes on foot.

Transfer from Světozor Kino (Václavské náměstí/Venceslas Square) to Axa Hotel (Bílá labuť stop)
- tram 3 towards Březiněveská (3 stops), duration: about 5 minutes;
- tram 24 towards Výstaviště Holešovice (3 stops), duration: about 5 minutes;
- about 20 minutes on foot.

Transfer from Prague central station - Praha hl.n.( Hlavní nádraží) to Axa Hotel
- metro line C towards Letňany, get down at Florenc
- C stop and then a short walk, duration: about 5 minutes;

Transfer from Prague central station - Praha hl.n.( Hlavní nádraží) to Světozor Kino
- metro line C towards Háje, get down at Muzeum stop and then a short walk, duration about 8 minutes;
- tram 6 towards Kubánské náměstí, get down at Václavské náměstí/Venceslas Square, duration: about 10 minutes.

Transfer from Světozor Kino (Václavské náměstí/Venceslas Square) to Nakladove Nadrazi Žižkov
tram 9 towards Spojovací (7 stops), duration: about 15 minutes.

Transfer from Axa Hotel (Bílá labuť stop) to Aero Kino (Ohrada stop)
tram 3 towards Nádraží Braník. Get off at Jindřišská stop (2 stops). Get tram 9 from the opposite Platform towards Spojovací (8 stops). From Biskupcova stop a short walk of 3 minutes, duration: about 24 minutes.

Transfer from Aero Kino (Ohrada stop or Biskupcova stop) to Ponrepo-Bio Konvikt Kino (Národní třída stop)
tram 9 towards Sídliště Řepy (13 stops) and then a short walk, duration: about 30 minutes.
