Going to the cinema: much more than just
seeing a film. No other way of viewing a film can generate the same thrill,
the feeling of a great event, the sharing of a dream. Only from the big
screen does a film enter people’s collective imagination and start
out on the road to success. Putting cinema theatres in the limelight:this
is the goal MEDIA Salles has been aiming at since its foundation in 1991.
Working for cinemas to be recognised as the natural setting for seeing
films, and as the meeting-place between European people and the films
of Europe. This is why we support MEDIA Salles, with its initiatives to
promote cinema theatres and the dissemination of European cinema regardless
of frontiers, and its efforts in forming the audiences of tomorrow:
