The course will begin on 9 April 2008 at 3 p.m. at the Ibis Euston St Pancras (3 Cardington Street - NW1 2LW - London) and will close on 13 April at 11 a.m. at the same address.

The nearest metro station to the Hotel is: Euston, on Victoria Line and Northern Line.

How to reach the Hotel - Come raggiungere l'Hotel

From Heathrow Airport, the cheapest way to reach the Hotel is by metro: take the Piccadilly Line to King's Cross and then change to Northern Line to Euston (one stop).

Quicker but more expensive is the Heathrow Express, the non-stop train service between Heathrow Airport and Paddington Nation Rail Station, in the heart of London. From there, walk to Paddington Underground station. To reach the Ibis Euston St. Pancras Hotel, from Paddington Underground Station, take the Bakerloo Line towards Elephant & Castle for 6 stops. At Oxford Circus take the Victoria Line towards Walthamstow Central or Seven Sisters for 2 stops to Euston Station.
You can also take, from Paddington Underground Station, the Circle Line towards Edgware Road and stop at Euston Square Station. Then walk to the Hotel.

If you arrive at Gatwick Airport the fastest way to reach the Ibis Euston St. Pancras Hotel is by train. The Gatwick Express rail services run direct from Gatwick to Victoria Station. From there take the Victoria Line towards Walthamstow Central or Seven Sisters for 4 stops to Euston Station.

From Stansted Airport Rail Station, take the Stansted Express train towards Liverpool Street and stop at Tottenham Hale. Then walk to Tottenham Hale Underground Station, take the Victoria Line towards Brixton for six stops to Euston Underground Station.

From Luton Airport take the purple bus to Parkway Rail Station, then take the First Capital Connect towards Brighton Rail Station and stop at St. Pancras International. Once there, walk to King's Cross St. Pancras Underground Station. Take the Victoria Line towards Brixton (1 stop) or Northern Line towards Edgware or High Barnet (1 stop) to Euston Underground Station.
You may also walk from King's Cross St. Pancras to the Hotel.

If you arrive in London by Eurostar train, you will arrive at St Pancras International Rail Station. From there you could walk to the hotel (5 minutes) or take the underground: you should take the Victoria Line towards Brixton for one stop to Euston station.

Il modo più economico, dall’aeroporto di Heathrow, per raggiungere l’Albergo è la metropolitana, prendendo la Piccadilly Line fino a King’s Cross e poi la Northern Line fino a Euston (una sola fermata).
Più veloce, ma più costoso è l’Heathrow Express: il treno diretto tra l’aeroporto di Heathrow e Paddington National Rail Station, nel cuore di Londra. Da qui, camminare fino a alla fermata della metropolitana di Paddington. Se si arriva all’aeroporto di Gatwick, la via più veloce per raggiungere l’Ibis Euston St. Pancras Hotel è il treno. Il Gatwick Express va diretto da Gatwick (South Terminal) a Victoria Station (in circa 30 minuti). Da qui si prende la metropolitana - Victoria Line – per 4 fermate fino a Euston Station verso Walthamstow Central o Seven Sisters (direzione North Bound) per 4 fermate.

Dalla stazione ferroviaria dell’aeroporto Stansted Airport Rail Station prendere lo Stansted Express verso Liverpool Street e scendere a Tottenham Hale. Camminare poi fino alla fermata della metropolitana di Tottenham Hale da cui prendere la Victoria Line verso Brixton, scendendo alla sesta fermata, cioè Euston Underground Station.

Dall’aeroporto di Luton prendere il Bus Viola per la Parkway Rail Station, prendere poi il treno First Capital Connect verso Brighton e scendere a St. Pancras International. Una volta lì, camminare fino alla King’s Cross St. Pancras Underground Station. Prendere la Victoria Line verso Brixton (1fermata) o la Northern Line verso Edgware o High Barnet (1 fermata) fino a Euston Underground Station.
Si può anche camminare da St. Pancras fino all’Hotel (circa 5 minuti).

Arrivando a Londra con il treno Eurostar, si arriva alla St. Pancras International Rail Station. Da qui si può camminare fino all’Hotel (5 minuti) o prendere la metropolitana: bisogna prendere la Victoria Line verso Brixton fino a Euston Station (1 fermata).

Attenzione: nelle stazioni la metropolitana è indicata come Underground.

Local transport in London - Trasporti locali a Londra

The main course venue will be the Ibis Euston St Pancras. However, there will be frequent moves around London to reach places – in particular cinemas – where important lectures and meetings with experts are to be hosted. Most of the travelling will be by underground and participants are therefore advised, on arrival, to purchase a weekly travel card covering zones 1 and 2, at a cost of £24.20 (bearing in mind that a single ticket costs £4). The card – known as the Oyster Card – must be stamped on every journey.
Transport to the Kino Digital cinema in Kent will, instead, be by coach and organized by MEDIA Salles.

La sede principale del corso sarà l’hotel Ibis Euston St Pancras. Saranno tuttavia frequenti gli spostamenti in Londra per raggiungere i luoghi – in particolare cinema – che ospiteranno una parte importante delle lezioni e degli incontri con gli esperti. Gli spostamenti avverranno principalmente in metropolitana: invitiamo pertanto i partecipanti ad acquistare in loco un abbonamento settimanale, al costo di 24,20£, valido per le zone 1 e 2 (si tenga in considerazione che un biglietto per un singolo viaggio costa 4£). L’abbonamento consiste in una tessera, la Oyster Card, che va convalidata ad ogni viaggio.
Per la visita al cinema Kino Digital nel Kent invece lo spostamento avverrà con un autobus organizzato da MEDIA Salles.

Please note:

• the electricity points in the rooms of the Ibis Euston St Pancras Hotel conform to English standards. We therefore advise participants to equip themselves with an adaptor so that they are able to re-charge mobile phones, laptops and other electrical devices.
• All rooms at the Ibis Euston St. Pancras hotel are equipped with a wi-fi internet connection, for which there is a charge;
• MEDIA Salles will cover the cost of accommodation and breakfast: for any extras, participants are advised to open an individual account with the hotel, using their credit card as guarantee;
• Every room is equipped with a kettle for making tea or coffee;
• The rooms are fitted with curtains: those who wish to sleep in complete darkness are advised to bring an eye-mask;
• Hairdryers can be requested from reception. However, since a limited number is available, participants are advised to bring their own;
• In general “non-smoker” rooms will be assigned. Those who wish to smoke in their rooms are requested to inform MEDIA Salles;
• Every meal organized by MEDIA Salles generally arranges for alternative vegetarian dishes to be available. Nevertheless, vegetarians are kindly requested to let us know before the start of the course

Attenzione:

• le prese elettriche presenti nelle stanze dell’hotel Ibis Euston St. Pancras sono predisposte secondo lo standard inglese. Raccomandiamo pertanto i partecipanti di procurarsi un adattatore in modo da poter ricaricare correttamente telefoni cellulari, pc portatili e altri supporti elettrici.
  In ogni stanza dell’hotel Ibis Euston St Pancras esiste una connessione wi-fi a pagamento;
• MEDIA Salles copre il costo del pernottamento e della prima colazione: per tutti gli extra è consigliabile che ogni partecipante apra un conto presso l’albergo dando come garanzia la propria carta di credito;
• In ogni stanza c’è un bollitore che consente di preparare tè o caffè;
• L’oscuramento delle stanze avviene con tende: chi volesse dormire con il buio completo è invitato a portarsi una mascherina;
• L’asciugacapelli deve essere richiesto alla reception. Dal momento che ne esiste un numero relativamente limitato, può essere prudente portarsi il proprio.
• In linea di principio saranno assegnate camere “non fumatori”. Chi volesse una camera “fumatori” è invitato a segnalarlo a MEDIA Salles;

Participation Fee

It must be paid by bank transfer within 13 March 2008, in order to secure hotel accommodation. MEDIA Salles has already sent by email to accepted participants specific instructions on how to pay the fee.
