EUROPE GETS TOGETHER IN THE CINEMA
A WEEK
OF EUROPEAN CINEMA
IN 100 TOWNS
The initiative boosts the circulation of European films in medium-sized
towns and promotes the cinema as a meeting place among people and their
culture.

In the course of four events it has involved almost 600 cinemas in 18 countries,
each time bringing more than 300 European films to the big screen.

MEDIA Salles gives financial support to cinemas taking part in the initiative,
funding up to 50% of expenses incurred, with a ceiling of ECU 2,000.
1995 Special Edition: a week for a century of European cinemaTo
celebrate the Cinema Centenary MEDIA Salles presents this Special Edition
which will take place in November 1995.

Titles from the European film heritage will be screened, together with
films from different European countries which are chosen by each participating
cinema from first run titles in the town where the cinema operates.

Screenings will be complemented by promotional events on site and services
to audiences: opening nights, filmographies, season tickets, special screenings
for schools, quizes and games for prizes, press conferences, debates...
